Forensic Psychological Services

Dr. Dattilio received his formal fellowship training in Forensic Psychology through the department of psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine under the direction of the late Robert L. Sadoff, MD. He presently lectures (part-time) on topics of Forensic Psychology & Psychiatry at both Harvard Medical School and the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, and has also presented for local and state Bar Associations as well as various universities abroad.

Dr. Dattilio has testified in numerous state and federal jurisdictions for the prosecution and defense, as well as the Judge Advocate General US Military Tribunal and the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons. He has also been court appointed numerous times as the court’s independent expert on criminal matters, as well as for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Court of Judicial Discipline. He has consulted on cases for the Pennsylvania State Attorney General’s Office, as well as the United States Department of Justice, the United States Military and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has served as an expert witness in civil cases for both the plaintiff and defense and has lectured throughout the world on topics involving Forensic Psychology.  Dr. Dattilio is also a consultant to the Trial Advocacy Workshop Program at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA.

Forensic psychological services are available in the areas of personal injury, Title IX matters, criminal matters (adult and juvenile) and IMEs.  Specialty areas include testimony on Anxiety Disorders (phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorders, PTSD, panic disorders), Depression, Sexually Deviant Behaviors, Child Physical and Sexual Abuse, Matters Involving Immigration, Psychological Autopsies, Competency, Mitigation (including death penalty), Juvenile Decertification, Insanity Defense, Criminal Responsibility, Downward Departure and post-conviction matters including juvenile resentencing cases and petitions for clemency.

Evaluations can also be performed in Italian, Spanish and limited Portuguese.
